When do you replace your tires on the motorhome? Mine still have lots of tread left but are starting to get cracks in the sidewalls on the side that gets a lot of sun.

As soon as they start getting cracks. Tire covers extend the life to 6 or 8 years. But the sidewall cracks lead to early failures

I dropped Goodyears on my travel trailer this year and will give them a self-imposed 5-year lifespan. And I strongly encourage using tire covers, even if it's only the cheapie HF ones:

Motorhome tires will age out long before they wear out. I put some "Samson" tires on my motorhome when I got it. Added some dynabeads & had no issues.

I went the Samson route as well. Goodyear/toyo/Michelin are good options but my thought, 500-800 a piece vs the 129 each was a no brained knowing I’m going to throw them away after 5 years with only 20k on them. If I was putting 100k a year then I think the big players. My old coach I ended up putting some Kelley tires and they seemed very good as well and were 320 for the steers.

I have used Samsun and now Sailun for my Bus. I ran my steers since 17 and swapped to the better size after around 20K miles. Sold the takeoffs for 400/pair. Cost of the new Sailuns was only around 700$.

Stay clear of Michelins as all of the blow outs on the RV forums are the Michelins.

All of my trailers now use Nokian car tires. The larger sizes have been rated extra load and they are the truest tires I have ever run .
