I have an original AMB hardwired transponder. Can these still be used in SCCA racing?

And by "pricey" he means at least $500.

Curious... Can the units be repaired if they fail?

google amb transponder repair. there is a gentleman in Australia that will repair your transponder quickly, reasonably and it will come back looking like it was never touched. had him do one last fall. will definitely do it again if necessary!

3 hardwired over on apexspeed for $450 each. Those aren't repairable...(know from early experience), The battery powered jobs can have battery replaced, fellow in Au. does that, used to be a kart racer in Tx. doing same. There's a decent utube video showing how to do it yourself...
