Anyone have fun tidbits to share?
(for those of us doing the play-along-at-home game)

Thanks in advance!

Car on fire in FP/HP qualifying 2. :(

Session is checkered and announcers did not confirm car # before breaking for lunch. If anyone knows who it was, please share.

:( That's what I was afraid of looking at the lap charts. I heard he lost an engine on the dyno just before coming as well. Sounds like a rough race this year, and hope the damage is repairable!

I was looking through the qualifying results so far, and noticed that Formula 1000, Formula Atlantic and Formula Continental have a total of 20 cars combined entered.

.........yet G Prod had to go away

G prod is alive and well at the back of the F prod field and the front of the H prod field...

F1000/FB disappears at the end of the year. FA will be on probation for the Runoffs next year. (If I read the rules correctly; they change so often.) FC had 10 cars turn a wheel in qualy, so is OK (for now).

I do not rejoice at the loss of any class. But that is the evolution of racing. If not, we would still be racing Spec Chariots and MG Midgets. Oh, wait .... :)
