1982 Mazda RX7, E-Production
This was Mike Hart's car, prepped in conjunction w/ Tom Thrash's car.
Cage and chassis fab work by Lucas Racing & restoration
Engine prep and chassis setup by Louie Rivera, RPM Motorsports

13B Street port, initial porting by Tom Thrash, updated by Tony Rivera. Engine refreshed by Louie Rivera in 2016 with maybe 10-12 race weekends since refresh
Weber 48IDA carb
Stainless exhaust system w/ 3.5" exhaust, dual mufflers/resonators, directional exhaust tip. Passes sound down here, but might need modification if raced in more stringent areas.
Afco dual-pass radiator w/ integrated oil cooler/heat exchanger (in 100deg Houston summers, car runs 180 water, 220 oil)
2nd gen alternator (parts available for 12+16V full-loss system)

Mazdacomp close ratio synchro Miata transmission
Mazdacomp lightweight 2-pc flywheel & ring gear- aluminum ring gear replaced with steel for longevity.
Tilton 5.5" twin disc clutch

JRZ triple adjustable shocks, rebuilt & dyno'd by Anze August 2019
GSL-SE front brakes, KC raceware hubs + rotors
3-link rear w/ panhard bar. Fresh rod ends throughout in 2018
Mazda mechanical LSD, can come with any of: 4.44, 4.88, and 5.1 rear ends- your choice of one comes with the car, others are part of spares

Mariah widebody kit (at least that's what I think it is)
Polycarbonate rear hatch & side windows
Freshly repainted- zero track time.

Full complement of Pro Comp gauges- fuel pressure, oil temp, oil pressure, water temp, tach
Innovate AFR gauge with oxygen sensor replaced in 2018
Racepak G2X data acquisition unit- display needs replaced, but it's all still in the car.

Kirkey aluminum seat
Racequip 6pt 2" FIA belts- new in 2019 so they're good until 2024
Cool Shirt controls installed (I'm keeping the cool shirt and ice chest)
Halon fire system
12gal Fuel Safe cell w/ dual pickups & external surge tank

15x7 Circle / Spin Werkes wheels, 4x114 bolt pattern

Car is race ready, minus graphics since the body was freshly painted. It's currently set up for Hoosier radials, but can be set up for bias ply in short time.

Asking $16,500. Reasonable offers entertained.
Considerable spares package is extra, but negotiable. Multiple sets of wheels, fresh tires, bins of additional parts
Located in Rosharon, TX (about 30 miles south of Houston)

*commenting from said peanut gallery*

It took me quite a while and quite a few price drops to sell my similarly prepared RX3. You may need to find the right person, but I would say your price is high if you're looking to sell fast. These cars aren't exactly rare.

Thanks. hoping to not "lose" too much on it at this point. I have a lot more invested than the asking price (as do all of us!), and you certainly can't build it again for that. Engine, trans, and shocks alone would cost more than the asking price. broken-up value of the spares I have sitting on the shelf is another $10k..

Matt I had to part out my EP miata, and ultimately got more money than I was asking for it whole.

Good luck with sale.

Yeah, trying not to do that. This chassis is still the old Tom Thrash design/setup for the most part. I'm not in a huge hurry to sell, but this would be a good car for Road America. it's got long legs and it can easily beat Reynolds to turn 1 on a race start. I just can't drive the thing so I brake early and take my place behind him. :)

Someone that can set up these shocks and drive a solid axle car will have a damn good car to race.
