2nd Gen 1989 E Production RX-7. Tony Rivera’s old car, finished 2nd in nationals historically. Recent rebuild of street ported engine by Luis Rivera with race prepped IDA Webber, ceramic seals, recent new Miata gear box, recent new 5.12 differential. Chrome Moly cage built by Joe McCarthy Sprint Cars, Bilstein shocks. Car can make minimum weight, carries 200 lbs of ballast Setup for cool suit, fuel cell, OEM axles w/30k miles (not rebuilds). AWR Suspension upgrade. Two sets Pana Sports, analog dash, with Rumble Strip timer. Car painted purple “Chrysler Plumb Crazy paint”. Installed manual steering rack. Log book. Belts current. No transponder. Asking $12,500.00 , 713-621-7303

That is a very nice 2nd gen. I remember the last time I saw it. Tony was rolling to a stop on the short back straight at TWS, one of his wheels had fallen off. Thanks to that I snagged a 3rd place finish that day. I believe that was on the last lap.

Or was that Jon S's car, that was originally a Tony build.

They are the same car I believe. This one used to be red. Tony finished second at runoffs in it
twice I believe. Once to Tom. Don't believe I ever heard about it losing a wheel. I know
Tom did at MSR. Brake caliper landed in Luis' miata. Dent still in floorboard. Dave has that
car now. Tony ran a white one for a while.

Perhaps it was the white second gen Tony was in that day he lost a wheel. Fun times at TWS!
