Kansas just ordered a 14-day quarantine for anyone who returned to the state from any highly-infected areas, such as a couple bad counties in Colorado.

EDIT: I don't personally think the event will happen - but that said I know they're working hard on their end to keep it going.

I suppose we could all leave now and hang out at Jesse's shop and wave at each other from our trailers. In 14 days we'd be allowed to race!

JPM isn't far from the regional airport. plenty of trailer parking, and it looks like you could make a reasonably fun race course out of the place... lots of straights and would be hard on brakes, but plenty of runoff room and I'd be willing to throw away a set of rotors right now if I got to race..

It hasn't been cancelled yet but I'd bet it will shortly.

Not to argue, I get how bad drivers want to race. Per SCCA/Topeka March 24th letter, canceled.

Now postponed until July 17-19. I'm going to still try and make it, assuming things start turning around.

Quote:
All-

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and subsequent quarantine requirements in
Kansas, the Majors and TT event scheduled for April 18-19 at Heartland
Motorsports Park has been postponed. The new date will be July 17-19.

I will be transferring all active registrations to that date.

If you have already paid, your payment will be transferred to that event.
There is no need to do anything else.

If you have opted to pay at the track, there is no need to do anything else.

If you wish to cancel your registration due to schedule conflict, feel free
to log in to your MSR account and do so.

If you are not registered yet, go ahead and do so.

TT entries HAVE NOT been charged, and will not be charged until after the
event.

Essentially, you have nothing to do except put the new date on your
calendar.

Please respond directly to this email with any questions.
